Türkiye has both national and religious holidays. National holidays, such as National Sovereignty and Children's Day, Victory Day and Republic Day, commemorate important events in Turkish history and are celebrated with ceremonies, flags and school activities. Ramadan Feast and the Feast of Sacrifice are religious holidays; families visit one another, share meals, help people in need and spend time together.
